In the wild, it prefers coniferous forests, rocky areas in woodlands or along streams in northern Europe, Mongolia, Russia, China and Japan as its habitat. These fluffy looking rodents usually live solitary lives, however, during winter they create a burrow, often sharing it with a fellow chipmunk. Behold this cute little chap cuddling up in the autumn leaves – a familiar feature of the series.
